The collective performance “Water Footprints” – part of AySA collection - was presented on the “International day of water”. The intention of this work of art is to make people conscious of their own water print as we are trapped in an ocean of visual and tactile sensations that encourage us to continue looking in our own footprints for the information on the use that different products and services of everyday use make of water. The attendants are invited to walk shoeless on the work of art so that their footprints make the water flow away and, as the foot is removed, information initially hidden is revealed to be read. Each person's footprints will remain until someone else walks near and creates new prints or until the "water" slowly covers it again, giving the performance a unique and random dynamic. |
